Got back all my prelim results yesterday. And frankly, i'm quite pleased with what i got. Ok here's what i managed.
English - 74 - A2 (1 freaking mark more.)
Chinese - C6 (june paper)
E Maths - 73 - A2
A Maths - 70 - A2
Physics - 78 - A1
Chem - 66 - B3
Geog Elect - 61 - B4
History - 50 - C6
L1+R5 = 14
My lowest aggregate in my whole life. Heh, what an achievement. Though i felt that i really should have done better for history. English and E maths should've been 1's, chem should have been better and history, MUCH better. The only thing i'm pleased with is my physics (of course) and a maths. Didn't think i could have got a 2 for a maths. Quite cool. But enough of this could have and should have crap. I really got to get down to some serious studying and revision for the o levels. Like what just about every teacher has said, its the final spurt and you just got to go all the way for it. I'm working towards a 9 pointer at the o's. Of course it's not going to be easy, going to have to work my ass off.
Yesterday when i counted 14, i was damn happy. But when i got home and realised that the cut off to enter the science stream in sajc was 13, i nearly killed myself. One stupid point more and my chances of getting in there would be so much better. Now i know how important one point is. It can mean the whole difference to which jc you enter, and in turn your whole life. I don't know what i can use to appeal to sajc with... I mean, i've got no track or not even a sport. NCC can't get me anywhere. So i'm like stuck. And if sajc doesn't take me in, i really have no idea where else to look to. People have said that acjc's science sucks, and i've got doubts about cj's science. Other college's are either too far away and damn inconvenient, or the cut off's too low. This really sucks. I know the choice is only made on the 26th of November, but i can't get this out of my head. It keeps on bugging me.
Ah well, i just hope it'll go away soon, like how i get over lots of stuff so quickly. Then i can fully concentrate on my o levels.
