Yesterday i woke up, pretty much ready and confident for the performance later that night. But after reading other people's blogs and about how nervous they are and scared of screwing up and all, i started to get that butterflies in my stomach feeling. Anyways, i reached meritus mandarin at about 2 plus and then we all checked in and went up to our room. Didn't stay there for long because i had my haircut thingy at 3pm. So i left and walked all the way back to far east and cut my hair there. The lady who cut my hair did it damn nicely. Then she styled it and all, i loved it. Heh... It took quite a while and 23 bucks, the most i've ever paid for a haircut, but it was worth it. After that went to hyatt for a rehearsal before the performance.
The amps were all set up by the time i got there. We ran through the whole order several times not too badly. I was quite relaxed, which was a good thing. Just that the aircon was freaking cold and so my fingers were cold. Had to warm up my fingers before playing. We left hyatt then went back to meritus to change, and then back to hyatt for the dinner. Bloody hell walk so much... Heh... Anyways, when i got back to the room, the first thing that caught my eye was aaron's green hair. Heh got balls man. It was quite cool to me, though quite stupid and cocked up to other people. Wanwan had his hair sprayed blue, chewyi had a bit of green sprayed on by aaron, timo had gold streaks at the fringe and all. Joel's hair was super-spiked and his makeup and stuff was damn cool. Everyone looked damn good. Heh... (I'm not gay don't worry.)
So when i got to hyatt i met up with imran and he helped me spray my hair in the toilet. It was sort of a reddish, purplish colour. Well it said "ruby-red" on the can. Go view the album to see what i'm talking about. Well he did a good job with it. I thought i looked quite good. HAHA. Whatever.
Dinner started off, well, pretty damn boringly. Wasn't really paying attention to what they were doing up on stage and all, and the food wasn't that fantastic also. Just took lots of pictures, they're all in the album. Towards the third and fourth courses i started getting quite anxious and nervous about the performance. Especially for going away to college, i'm the only guitar playing, so if i screw up, the whole thing will screw up. At least for dammit i've got joel backing me up. Could see the nervous-ness in the others too. Heh it was rubbing off everyone else. Then the time finally came for us to do our thing.
Honestly, i didn't think we were that good. As in we could have been better, much better. We WERE good, don't get me wrong, just that there was much room for improvement. Like for example, the volumes of the drums, bass, guitars and vocals should have been like, adjusted to make it sound the nicest. And also, we could have actually told the audience what they were going to hear. Like the blink 182 songs we played, most of the people wouldn't have heard it before. So yea, that's a point to take note. Also, i think we need more life in our playing. Stoning and playing really turns people off. Heh, yes call me a perfectionist but i can't help it that's how i feel. Overall we did just fine. We got our encore and left as one happy bunch.
The rest of the dinner was again, pretty boring. Sad to say, it was a lousy way to end off our four years in sji. The dinner itself wasn't that great. Not filling. Was still hungry after that. Nevermind. Didn't win anything from the lucky draw, as expected. I've never won anything from a lucky draw in my whole life. Not once. Nevermind. I'm used to it. After the dinner we took even more photos including ones with my ex-classmates as well as mfc. Heh the one with 2e8 was especially nice. Damn nice to see all of them after we split two years ago. Except for that stupid norman, who was the one who arranged the whole thing in the first place, and didn't turn up. Idiot... Heh... After that we walked back to the room.
The rest of them went out to don't know where for don't know what but i stayed back in the room. Didn't feel like walking anymore at all. Heh.. Lazy, slack, whatever. But when they came back it got damn fun. We played, i mean, THEY played this card game which i won't describe to all you innocent people out there. Just know that we had a hell lotta laughs and it was damn fun. Went to sleep at about four something or five in the morning. I woke up at like ten, only to see them still at that game. Heh it was hilarious. Of course they went to sleep before that. Then today all i did besides coming home and stoning, was pretty much nothing. I did go to play squash though, but not for long. Until my dad like twisted his ankle or something so he stopped playing. Turns out that he tore his ligament. Freaky... Like its because of me that he tore it. He wouldn't have played squash today if it wasn't for me. Sheesh...
Anyways, that's graduation. Now its time to move on. Hopefully to sajc. We'll find out on the 17th.
