No, it doesn't end tonight.

Yesterday i woke up, pretty much ready and confident for the performance later that night. But after reading other people's blogs and about how nervous they are and scared of screwing up and all, i started to get that butterflies in my stomach feeling. Anyways, i reached meritus mandarin at about 2 plus and then we all checked in and went up to our room. Didn't stay there for long because i had my haircut thingy at 3pm. So i left and walked all the way back to far east and cut my hair there. The lady who cut my hair did it damn nicely. Then she styled it and all, i loved it. Heh... It took quite a while and 23 bucks, the most i've ever paid for a haircut, but it was worth it. After that went to hyatt for a rehearsal before the performance.
The amps were all set up by the time i got there. We ran through the whole order several times not too badly. I was quite relaxed, which was a good thing. Just that the aircon was freaking cold and so my fingers were cold. Had to warm up my fingers before playing. We left hyatt then went back to meritus to change, and then back to hyatt for the dinner. Bloody hell walk so much... Heh... Anyways, when i got back to the room, the first thing that caught my eye was aaron's green hair. Heh got balls man. It was quite cool to me, though quite stupid and cocked up to other people. Wanwan had his hair sprayed blue, chewyi had a bit of green sprayed on by aaron, timo had gold streaks at the fringe and all. Joel's hair was super-spiked and his makeup and stuff was damn cool. Everyone looked damn good. Heh... (I'm not gay don't worry.)
So when i got to hyatt i met up with imran and he helped me spray my hair in the toilet. It was sort of a reddish, purplish colour. Well it said "ruby-red" on the can. Go view the album to see what i'm talking about. Well he did a good job with it. I thought i looked quite good. HAHA. Whatever.
Dinner started off, well, pretty damn boringly. Wasn't really paying attention to what they were doing up on stage and all, and the food wasn't that fantastic also. Just took lots of pictures, they're all in the album. Towards the third and fourth courses i started getting quite anxious and nervous about the performance. Especially for going away to college, i'm the only guitar playing, so if i screw up, the whole thing will screw up. At least for dammit i've got joel backing me up. Could see the nervous-ness in the others too. Heh it was rubbing off everyone else. Then the time finally came for us to do our thing.
Honestly, i didn't think we were that good. As in we could have been better, much better. We WERE good, don't get me wrong, just that there was much room for improvement. Like for example, the volumes of the drums, bass, guitars and vocals should have been like, adjusted to make it sound the nicest. And also, we could have actually told the audience what they were going to hear. Like the blink 182 songs we played, most of the people wouldn't have heard it before. So yea, that's a point to take note. Also, i think we need more life in our playing. Stoning and playing really turns people off. Heh, yes call me a perfectionist but i can't help it that's how i feel. Overall we did just fine. We got our encore and left as one happy bunch.
The rest of the dinner was again, pretty boring. Sad to say, it was a lousy way to end off our four years in sji. The dinner itself wasn't that great. Not filling. Was still hungry after that. Nevermind. Didn't win anything from the lucky draw, as expected. I've never won anything from a lucky draw in my whole life. Not once. Nevermind. I'm used to it. After the dinner we took even more photos including ones with my ex-classmates as well as mfc. Heh the one with 2e8 was especially nice. Damn nice to see all of them after we split two years ago. Except for that stupid norman, who was the one who arranged the whole thing in the first place, and didn't turn up. Idiot... Heh... After that we walked back to the room.
The rest of them went out to don't know where for don't know what but i stayed back in the room. Didn't feel like walking anymore at all. Heh.. Lazy, slack, whatever. But when they came back it got damn fun. We played, i mean, THEY played this card game which i won't describe to all you innocent people out there. Just know that we had a hell lotta laughs and it was damn fun. Went to sleep at about four something or five in the morning. I woke up at like ten, only to see them still at that game. Heh it was hilarious. Of course they went to sleep before that. Then today all i did besides coming home and stoning, was pretty much nothing. I did go to play squash though, but not for long. Until my dad like twisted his ankle or something so he stopped playing. Turns out that he tore his ligament. Freaky... Like its because of me that he tore it. He wouldn't have played squash today if it wasn't for me. Sheesh...
Anyways, that's graduation. Now its time to move on. Hopefully to sajc. We'll find out on the 17th.

In less than 24 hours, we will be bringing down the whole of hyatt with our performance at the graduation dinner. Well, hopefully. That's if we don't screw up, the equipment doesn't screw up, and we just have a whole lot of balls doing our thing. We've got the right stuff already. The amps we're borrowing are amazing, and the price is even more amazing. The only thing that i'd rather have, would be to play with that guitar below this entry. Heh... Yea right.
Did the most stupid thing ever at dinner just now. Well after dinner actually. Went to the garden area of christian's place and were playing soccer there. Stefan brought his skateboard down and for some crazy reason, i kept trying to do a handstand on the skateboard. Yes, pure stupidity. I got it once, so i had to try it again. Then the next time i tried i lost balance, took my right hand off one end of the skateboard, then the other end squashed my fingers. Ouch... My middle and ring finger are damn pain now, but it should be okay by tomorrow. Well, hopefully.
P.S. To wtf, whoever you are, if us playing spoils and ruins your dinner and all, i'll be more than glad to give u an encore.

Yes, please. Besides, Christmas is coming real soon. ;)

Today is the day where i probably had the most fun in a very VERY long time. Lets start from the top. My mum dropped me, timo and joel to school for the auditions for grad dinner at about 2pm. We wandered around for a while before going to the band room. Then imran and haikal came LATE. Bloody hell the "judges" were like getting impatient. Nevermind. They showed up and we played. Like shit though. That's how i felt at least. But at least we got our act together and played something rather presentable. They said we got in, i don't really know how or why but it doesn't matter. What matters is we're going to be performing on the 28th, and we had damn well better put up a show the others wouldn't soon forget. Speaking of grad night, i want to wear something unique that no one else would wear. Don't think my shirt or tie would do that, so i'm going to spray my hair like a reddish-purplish colour. Can't think of what other crazy shit there is to do.
Okay so after the auditions we had our amps and guitars and all then we were outside the PE department talking. Then someone came up with the idea of jamming in the canteen. I suggested plugging the amps into the sockets where the vending machines were, and by some freak spur of the moment we ran off and were going to play there. We played instead at the place where people queue up for food. Found a plug there and stuck two amps into it. Victor and timo played grab the devil, while me and joel were breaking in the background. Aaron was taking the whole video. It was damn fun. Then after that we packed up and ran out of school. It was just like a music video. Heh...
When we were outside school we were looking for the next location to "shoot our video". Since tanglin was so nearby, and there were bound to be power sockets around somewhere, we went there. We went up to the second level, and then found a spot on sort of a balcony thing. It was damn cool. So imran, haikal and joel played dammit there while timo, victor and i were in the background playing around. So after that we packed and ran off again. We went into the cafe and then out through the back door, where we found another socket. This time joel even went to ask the auntie at the counter permission to play outside and surprisingly she ENTHUSIASTICALLY said okay! So victor, aaron and imran played all the small things there with joel, timo, haikal and me breaking. Filmed it right to the end then haikal stopped filming. Just after that victor's mum came round the back and said something like "Eh quick la your sister's waiting in the car!" It was damn hilarious, too bad we didn't catch it on the video. After that we finally stopped our nonsense and went back home.
Haikal came back with me and then we met again at about 5.45pm in orchard. Went around doing the usual crazy mad stuff in town and all. It was damn funny. Bought a can of hairspray to share with imran for grad night. The others bought fake earings. Heh.. I didn't buy because just about the rest of them were buying. Not original you see. =) So after that we just walked around town before going back home. The first half of our day was definately more fun. The videos are being uploaded right now so when its ready its a must-see.
If only everyday was this fun.
Keep out.
Stay away.
Get lost.
Maybe another day.
Find another place.
Get someone else's face.
Don't talk to me.
I'm supposed to be
free.
This isn't the way
It's supposed to be.
What the * am i saying...

Finally, i can blog again. Finally, the o's are over. Finally, i can wake up and NOT think about what i have to study or about exams or whatever crap shit things like that. Okay so now lets pick up where i left off.
Overall the o's were pretty good. Except the humanities of course. First paper, E Math 1 i found it quite straight forward. Maybe a couple of questions i was a little unsure but still could be done. So i started off well. Then English paper was harder than i expected. Maybe i was a bit too complacent because i didn't do any english practise before the paper at all. Damn... Then the first suck-ass paper, social studies. SBQ was totally screwed up, and the essays i spotted wrongly. Fine nevermind. So had my first break day, and coincidentally it was my birthday. So i spent my birthday doing what i just LOVE to do, studying for history. After studying my ass off for chapters 9 and 10, and got the paper the next day, i swear i could have just killed somebody. Spotted wrongly, again. Stupid shit. Before that was e math 2. Found that pretty okay. Next week had a math on monday. That i found easy. Of course not totally there were certain questions that stumped me but were still do-able. Then it was physics, my so-called best subject. And i found it harder than i had expected. Shit... Paper 1 was pretty easy, but paper 2 was tough. Then there was chemistry. Just to spite that thing called a gina tan i finished paper two in like half the time and went to the toilet, came back, and slept. Haha... Woke up five minutes before the end, touched up a little then handed in my paper. Take that bitch! Then it was geog elect. HAHA... Found it to be the same as prelims actually. I could write a hell lot, just that i wasn't sure if all that i wrote was correct or just plain full of shit. Then a math 2 i found harder than paper 1, but still okay. Then the final paper history 2 yesterday. I studied four chapters and three out of the four came out for essay. Damn happy. Finally my spotting skills actually worked. Heh..
The evening after the physics exam i went to watch matrix revolutions. Heh... Didn't really give a shit that it was in the middle of my o's. Besides, i had two days to prepare for my next paper. The show was damn damn good. All the effects and stuff. The story was damn good too. Its really one of the best movies ever and if you haven't watched it you're crazy. Its just too bad that i had the ending spoilt for me so that sucked. Nevermind...
So yesterday after the paper met outside the hall where i started to tear up my entry proof. Then i threw it on the floor and stepped on it and all. Heh i'll upload a picture of the final product soon. Then timo started stepping and jumping on his history textbook and kicking it around. I took it and ripped it into half with someone i can't remember who. Haha think it was joel. Then everyone joined in and started tearing up pages and all. The front cover was in five pieces. Heh... It was damn fun.
After that we left for hmv. The rest of them wanted to buy some cds, including the new blink 182 album. I didn't buy anything. That's because i bought mine the day it was released. Heh... Sharon actually smsed me there when she saw me but because i hate carrying my handphone in my pocket, it was in my bag and i didn't read it until much later. Heh we were leaving the toilet when timo did his laugh. It was just a small sign of things to come that day. Heh... After that we walked to sommerset mrt and took a train to jurong east. The whole way there we were making a total fool out of ourselves doing crazy and mostly stupid things everywhere we went. Heh so if you ever see a bunch of guys totally insane, there's a good chance its us.
At jurong we jammed for two hours. Realised that we've really lost touch after all the exams. But after that two hours i think its quite safe to say we'll be playing for the graduation dinner. Our final chance to show ourselves to the rest of the school. Jamming was damn fun, and i left with ringing ears. Heh... Think i'm not used to the loud stuff anymore. Shit.. Haha... By the time we finished it was about 7.30. First time i ever played until so late. Heh..
Then we went to west mall to have dinner at bk then looked around for hairdye. I want to dye my hair like reddish orangey for graduation dinner. Heh... Then at least i'll stand out just a little bit. Unless everyone else dyes their hair too. Anyways didn't find what we were looking for so we left for home. Caught a cab with timo and joel. Heh the cab driver was damn funny. And after a while we realised that he was talking almost exactly like our ex-relief-amath teacher lim pok beng. It was hilarious. And even better, we found out that his name was po beng or something like that. Haha... So finally got home. Out from like 7.45 until 9.45. Haha damn fun but damn tiring...
And that's that. The four years of my sji life come to an end.

BOO!
Sorry if i broke my "promise" of not blogging until the exams are over. I just couldn't wait. So now a brief rundown. Its quite simple really.
-Inspired by Blink 182, possibly the greatest band ever, and their new self titled cd. (18th November 2003)
-Clean and neat because i didn't want it to be messed up and stuff.
-"Bare essentials" is something like my old blog, "no shit". This time its just what you need for a blog. Namely a blog, a tagboard, some links and ur profile.
And that's it.
