No, it doesn't end tonight.

"what pun?"
7 hours of sleep is insufficient for a slob like me. Not really sure why I decided to wake up early today, despite having training only in the afternoon. Just mucked about my room for close to an hour before going outside. Got my hair cut. It's... okay. Won't say that it's really screwed up or something but neither will I say its beautiful. Oh well, I don't think its very easy to satisfy me so it's okay. At least now its less messy and not illegal in school.
Sitting out of training really sucks. It's boring, demoralising and just plain fucked up. Being sick is worse. Yucks. My flu has suddenly worsened and threatens to sideline me on Saturday, something that I really really don't want to see happening. Should be going to get a flu jab coming Monday or something. Hopefully after that i'll finally be fully recovered. I've kinda forgotten how that feels already. Ugh. Been sick for a really really long time. Months even. Maybe not sick, but rather less than a hundred percent healthy. Sucks shit. And it builds up all the way to today, and I can't even train. Disgusting.
I'm hungry.
p: Eye contact, smile, talk, obvious hints (cus some guys are slow), etc. Your idea would be cool though. (:

"take my picture"
The day started off rather fucked-up-ly. Reached school at about 8.30am hoping I could either take a power nap or read a bit before training started. Instead, I was out on the field trying to re-cordon off the field because the tape had come loose in the wind and rain. At least someone helped. Thanks to all the helpful people. Mmm. Training today was really, unproductive. Oh well... At least I had that time to "rest".
Headed to AV for lunch, then rushed home to get changed to go to town. Started pouring before I could leave. You know how much I hate carrying things around when I go out, umbrella's included. This time however, I really had no choice. Already late and with no signs of the rain lightening, I took the umbrella and caught a cab to town. At least Ming Yuan was kind enough to take the umbrella home for me so I didn't have to carry it around town. Finally met up with the Big 4 after how long. It's been a while but nothing much has changed. Besides the hairstyles maybe. Went over to Paragon's Spageddies for food and catching up. Then over to Lucky Plaza for some pool before back to Lido for Shutter. Didn't know the movie was in Thai until we bought the tickets. Heh anyways, the show was quite alright. It was frightening but also funny in some parts. Though what I heard about people being too scared to take photos even after the show? Didn't happen to me. So I guess it's safe to say it wasn't THAT scary afterall. Ate somemore after the movie and then headed home.
Almost decided to go for another movie tomorrow morning before training. So including, that and Sunday, it would've been 4 movies in the week. Haven't spent so much in such a short time. Ugh... Well, maybe it's "making up" for all the times I didn't watch a movie this year. That's right Nick, make yourself feel better.
I need to get a haircut. Not that I want to, I
need to. Should I do something funky? Hah...

"wow"
Time for a proper update. It's been a while, and no ripping this time round, Jill.
Was asked to help out with some performance for the church's thanksgiving thingy. Only agreed to it because Justin was in it as well. Had about two or three days of practise, including the day itself. Missed a step here and screwed up a bit there but I don't think many people noticed it. Nevermind, many clapped so that's a good sign. Justin's run seemed to go well, and the rest of them didn't seem to screw up at all. Maybe they did, I just didn't spot it. What's a know-nothing-bout-dance guy like me to know? Mmm...
Watched the rest of the concert at the back of the hall. Watched some of it sitting with Justin, then Jill, then standing on (and almost breaking) the bench with Lynsey. The kids were enjoying it much more than us teens. Probably because we have a really different sense of humour. After everything ended, Jill, Cheryl, Lynsey, Shaun and I practically stoned at the corner opposite the main entrance to church.
Afraid of balloons? Lol. Cab drivers that passed us gave weird stares, much to the displeasure of the rest. Maybe it was because Shaun threw stones at them. Heh... Was about 11:30 when I finally got home.
Today's training session taught me a little something about myself. No elaboration for now.
After training went down to AV for lunch then headed to cine to watch The Incredibles. Was looking out for that pair of legs to no avail. What are the chances anyways? Yea? Heh... The earlier show was packed so we took the next one. Still, we only managed to get third row seats. Yucks. Went up with the intention of playing lan to pass the hour before the show started only to find out we didn't have sufficient cash, combined, to cover the deposit for everyone. So we headed down to the pool hall, which was closed. Then went all the way down to the arcade, which had nothing interesting, except for a group of three guys who persistently stared at us. Either they're looking for trouble or we're just too hot. Went up when the pool place was open and played there til the show started.
The Incredibles is a must-watch. Funny shit, and its not just for kids. Laughed my ass off, and it really amazes me how Kenn could actually fall asleep during the show. Haha... Maybe not everyone found it as funny as I did. I've yet to watch shutter. Already asked two people only to get declined. Does anyone else want to watch it? It's been a while since I had a scare.

"humbled..."
Thank you to markymark, gnia, rea, ryan, les, rachel, imran, siong guan, haikal, the big 4, hiresh, kingseng, joyce, xiaoxuan, daren, the whole sa soccer team, faye, cheryl, sharon, cher, hil, doug, and all those who wished me but unfortunately had their names forgotten. Special mention to bestfriend jill and to christine who called first and last respectively. (: I'd also like to thank
Dutch-Girl, because the fact that you actually tagged shows that you knew about today and actually bothered about me. Mmm, thanks. Its only once a year that you feel this way.
I have shared with some people on how I view birthdays, I have even posted an entry about this some time ago. Anyways, I guess it would an appropriate time to blog about it today. So here goes.
Birthdays are anniversaries of your birth, and annually, the day is celebrated. You're showered with gifts, blessings and etc. Hmm, and for what? Was it some achievement on your part that you made it into the world and thus deserve rewards for? The only reason why people look forward to their birthdays is the presents. Or maybe its for the excuse that they can go out and let their hair down. Or they really just cannot wait to grow up. Do people actually think things like "Hey, i was born seventeen years ago..."?
I woke up one morning to the voice of Daniel Ong on the radio, like I always do. His voice never fails to wake me up(not meant in a very good way though). That day he was having a conversation with some teenage girl, who was celebrating her birthday that day. He was exclaiming stuff that went something like, "Oh! It's you birthday! It's the day you were born! It's the day your mum gave birth to you!" So, right there it struck me. Birthdays really shouldn't be for you to celebrate, but rather your parents. Your mum especially. Birthdays mark the accomplishment of carrying you around for nine long months, the end of all that labour stuff, I don't know, i'm not a mum. And what does she get for all that trouble? Lets see, just about nothing really. That simple line totally changed my perceptions of birthdays. Now you may realise why I didn't kick up such a big fuss about my birthday.
Oh by the way, as of now until further notice, which may never come, I am a monolinguist. "Chinese", or anything related to that word, means nothing to me. 100% English.

"Ya'll gonna learn Chinese..."
The feeling sucks. Chinese A's is in two days time and i'm not doing anything about it. Not like I can, actually. Maybe I could read through the Chinese "textbook" (if I can find it at all), but how much good would that do for me? It's not as if studying that way would get me more marks. Maybe I could do the TYS, but its not as if the same questions will come out. Maybe I could read some notes. Hmm, what notes?
I absolutely stoned at home today. Watched The Bourne Supremacy, Fear Factor and some show on HBO, but couldn't really enjoy it because Chinese was always on the back of my mind. It's only today that it really struck me, that I could possibly fail this exam, and have to retake it again next year. D7 doesn't seem that achievable anymore.
Scary shit.
There's nothing I or anyone else can do to help the situation. The whole year round i've been counting on my own luck and other people's answers to scrape through with my Chinese. I don't understand the comprehension, summary and cloze passages. I don't understand most of the MCQ either, and its all more guess-work than anything else. It's been working so far, but I can't help thinking what if my luck's run out?
I know worrying doesn't help anything. That's what even I sometimes tell others. But worrying isn't really a choice that you make. Its like a feeling that you feel. You can't tell yourself not to feel happy or sad, you just feel it. I haven't felt this way in a real long time. (Not that i miss it.)
ugh...

"i like the rain..."
Woke up disgustingly early today to go to school for the final PW Oral Presentation rehearsal. Didn't quite help that i was practising the whole of last night through. Was rather stoned out initially. After going through the whole routine a few times, it was time for the actual one. I spoke too fast, without even realising it. I actually thought it was alright. Finished my section just over 4 minutes, about 40 odd seconds off from what i practised it to be. Oh well, shit happens. On the brighter side, PW is finally over. Except for the handing in of the project file. Have i ever mentioned how much i dislike PW? Mmm...
Had lunch and stoned in school after that, all the way until training time. Slept a bit in the SC then got ready for training. It was pouring in school, so we did gym. Finally. I've realised how weak i am compared to previous years when i was in NCC. Can't do push-ups for shit anymore. Ugh... Actually planned to leave training early so i would make it for mass in time. However it dragged and the more it dragged, the more i thought "i can still make it in time". Literally ran out of school to try and look for a taxi. Exceptionally frustrating. The taxis never came, and the ones that did were snatched up by commuters who just happened to be standing before me.
wtf. But i'd like to say a big
thank you to a lady who was also waiting for a taxi. She was there before me, but (i think) overheard my phone conversation in which i mentioned that i was stuck in school and i was late, and let me take the taxi before her. You don't see much of that happening in Singapore, really. She just did it subtly, by retracting her arm and taking a step back. Touched. Really.
Got to church about ten minutes or so late. The taxi driver seemed to be driving really slowly, but that's always the case when you're late. After church i just left for home. *
Cheer up bestfriend. I don't like being daoed.
Chinese on Friday. No idea what i'm going to do about it. Even if i choose to study, there isn't much material for me to do so. I'm more or less banking on my luck to get that C6. I really don't want to take Chinese again next year. Chinese sucks, oh yes it does.
Dutch-girl: Mmm, if i do go for it, i'll be looking forward to meeting you.
Pido: I think Dutch-girl is in Singapore.
Suff: SATAY! Link me and i'll link you. (:
