Rewind A Little For Me Please

Today I stumbled upon an old old MSN conversation archive. One year and one month old to be exact. It was a mass conversation comprising of mostly Class Of 2003 Josephians, with a special appearance by Ben Loo who's a Josephian "by blood" (or so some said). There were more than 10 people in the conversation, but I knew only a fraction of them. Apparently something big was happening. What exactly?

SJI EMERGENCY MEETING. THEY PUTTING GIRLS IN SJI. DO SOMTHING JOSEPHIANS!

That sparked quite a commotion in the chat window. Some reactions...
"what the fork man"
"why the hell does sji wanna buy chij"
"sji buying a part of chij or sometink"
"169million. we are buying out every single chij toa payoh shares"
"its a bloody crime i say"
"crime?!?! ITS BLASPHEMY!! *** IS AN INFIDEL!" (names are censored for obvious reasons)

Apparently, there was some news article on the SJI OBA website claiming that SJI was going co-ed with some girls school, probably IJ or something. It was dated 1st April (April Fool's Day) and I was pretty sure it was all a hoax. But the cursings continued...
"blow the ij ppl away"
"IJ SUCKS!"
"FARK CHIJ"
"fuck you ij rocks."
"crescent better."
"NABEI sji so rich"
"FUCK SJI LAH"

So they kept on thinking of ideas on how to prevent this "disaster" from happening...
"eh relax relax lets discuss this calmly"
"stage a revolution"
"ask ** come back to singapore to fight for us"
"we need that **** to write a book about why SJI should not have girls"
"dammit. you all know we cant do anything to stop lui"
"can.. we burn sji first"
"toilet bowl bomb so when he shits..."
"or car bomb"
"irony in the fact that we're trying to SAVE sji."
"go there tell him put his cunt in a can la" (you won't get it)
"how bout we take over the school."
"we make *** wear chij uni.. den parade him around sji"
"hey can someone do a online petition thing?"
"it won't work la"
"i bet this time all josephians will wanna sign"

In the process of all that, Josephians, being the usual sort they are, kept on digressing and drifting from the case at hand. Usually some would get angry, urging everyone to get back on topic, but after a while join in the conversation. One instance started with one question.
"u all got *****'s letter right?"
"nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"
"what letter?"
"no"
"wad letter?"
"some stupid thing"
"what letter"
"what letter?"
"wad motherfucking letter"
"i never get leh tmd"
"i throw away liao"
"the letter abt the sji forum"
"wad letter??"
"WAD LETTER"
"saying wad"
"about mass orgy at PAC"

Then another question sparked off another totally irrelevant and stupid conversation.

"ehh... i in OZ leh.. how to recieve anything?"
"me in OZ too"
"whats OZ"
"need to pay $$$ to go right"
"OZ? aussie?"
"new zealand"
"OZ = aussie"
"no.. alice in wonderland"
"AU la OZ. what stupid cocks."
"OZ = AU = aussie = ozzie"
"there's no O and Z in australia la wtf"
"what has australia been teaching u all"
"its OZ or AUS la cock heads"

And then...

"isnt supposed to be like 3-4 in oz now?"
"its 2am in brisbane"
"its midnight in singapore"
"its 11:58 in choa chu kang"
"it's 11.58 in yio chu kang"
"1.58am on eastern coast"
"it's 11.59 in west coast"
"11.59 at marine parade"
"00.01 in farrer road"
"hoho i'm on a sunday! slow pokes!"
"its saturday in places that count."
"sunday."
"shit. reminds me of the sji boy."
"what sji boy"

And when we do try to stop digressing...

"OIII DIGRESSING."
"aiayh can get bac to the matter"
"whats the matter"
"dick head.. nazi helmet or wadeva"
"letter ppl.."
"what cartoon's on tomorrow morning ah?"

Actually there is more to paste for you to see, but unfortunately the content is too unsuitable for a place like this. Maybe another time then... Anyway, since that day, nothing was said about this matter, neither was there any follow up on the issue on the website or newspapers or whatever. Well, at least we had a rather interesting conversation initiated by a lame April Fool's Day joke. Hah.

One more thing before I go. Is it just this one, or do all goldfish usually do something like this?

DO FISHES HIBERNATE? IT'S BEEN LIKE THAT FOR HOURS.

Lie And Make Me Feel Good

I took close to 45 minutes deciding what to wear, what to bring, and finally leaving the home. Met some of them at Orchard MRT and just before leaving for Kallang, I realised I forgot my ticket. Perfect. Thank goodness for the super-parents who brought it back for me. Hah... And yes, okay, it's my fault that we got frickin shit seats.

Bus 16 took the longest of times to get there, and we only reached at about 7.30+pm. Therefore getting relegated to the upper level seats despite the frantic sprint from the bus stop to the theatre. It was quite a big difference from last time. Last year we went rather early and sat right in the front row and got quite a good view. Hah... Now all we had was a crappy view like this...

THAT'S JIALING AND JOEL, BUT YOU WOULDN'T HAVE GUESSED IT FROM THE PICTURE.

EVEN THE CAMERA REFUSED TO TAKE GOOD PICTURES.

Couldn't even recognise anyone from up there. It was depressing, really. So much so that we longed for the intermission so that we could go downstairs and steal seats in the front few rows. Got/Found/Stole a seat next to zy and his classmates. The view from there was a few thousand times better. But the camera still refused to take good pictures. Maybe it's just the camera...

THE SCHOOLGIRL COSTUMES WERE HOT (ON THOSE WHO MADE IT LOOK GOOD).

I don't know if I really enjoyed this year's Rapture more than last, but it was still good nevertheless. Alumni dancers used Muse songs, now that's hot. The finale item was good stuff too. And there are a frickin lot of J1 dancers. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. VJC Dance, NUS Dance, teachers... Heh. The breakdance item (or only the brown pants guy) was good. And the dance with the scream, hah, goosebumps man.

After the concert I went backstage to see Kel for a bit. Met a few people then went back to the seating area. Took forever to decide what to do next. So while they decided, I put my camera to use again.

WITH S73, TEO 'SAME-SHIRT' JING LONG, SOCCER GUYS, MING YUAN

Having still not decided on what to do, we went downstairs to the lobby hoping for a little inspiration, but to no avail of course. So out came the camera again.

THNG'S JACKET. I ACTUALLY STOOD THERE FOR A MINUTE OR SO WHILE ABOUT THREE PEOPLE TOOK PICTURES OF ME. FOR REAL. HAH.

THEN ONE WITH LEON AND MING...

AND FINALLY WITH JUSTIN AND THE STAR OF THE SHOW.

Headed over to "Cosy Bay" the Tesla-Coil-looking-thing with Justin after that. Saw Mark Lai for the first time in quite a while. He hasn't changed. The place was anything but cosy. Air condition would have been cosy, faster and better service would have been cosy, but I guess not. Oh well... Ate a bit, drank a bit, then cabbed home. I made it back before midnight surprisingly.

Gosh, I never knew blogging could be this tiring. By the way, Happy Birthday to Lynsey and Suff the 24/7 babies.

Red Carpet For What?

Some days ago I overheard a conversation between couple of teens in my school canteen. I think they were talking about the Good Charlotte concert or something along those lines. Anyways, the conversation went a little something like...
"Eh, you better go damn early. It'll surely be damn packed..."
"Ya I know... I went for the Sum 41 concert that time it was damn crowded so early."
"Huh Sum 41? Eee... Satanic..."

Since when was Sum 41 satanic anyways? Or maybe they are, just that I never ever knew. They don't look it, do they? Wonder how that guy came to that conclusion. Anyways, if he was talking about the Sum 41 concert at Fort Canning back in 2003, it was nothing near packed. Sure the queue looked endless (maybe because people like us jumped right to the front) but when it started it was not THAT packed. I think? Oh well... I wonder how the GC concert went. Mmm...

Amuse Me

Probably the last chance I'll get to blog in a while so might as well make the most of it.

You know what? Forget it.

Would You Please?

It's been quite a while. In the three weeks that I haven't updated, I've been to two camps, mugged and sat for my Block Test 2, and got a haircut. Though it still seems rather long and illegal in school. But whatever, that's not important now is it?

Block Test 2 went by so quickly. After all those long hours of mugging and shit just about every single day in school, and a bit of tennis, touch and basketball here and there, it all comes to just about nothing. Especially for Chemistry. Gosh... Oh wait, SA teachers read this, so I shan't elaborate any further.

Last night, or well, two nights ago, Maria Sharapova lost to a man. This man...

Don't be fooled. Those aren't boobs you're looking at.

What a tragedy... Well, to me and Miah at least. Heh, at least I know I'm not the only heartbroken one around here. Don't worry Maria, there's always next year. We (Miah and I) still love you!

It's three in the morning.
